The “Irreplaceable: Wildlife in a Warming World” photo tour opens in Helena on Friday, January 9, 6-9 pm at the A.L. Swanson Gallery, 46 S. Last Chance Gulch. The 20-print exhibit will remain on display through January.
Climate change will become a leading cause of species extinction over the next several decades. Through the power of images in this first-of-its-kind exhibit, the wildlife impacted by global warming tell their story.
This is the first-ever, multi-city traveling photo exhibit and series of events, all part of a public education effort dedicated to bringing attention the plight of plants and animals imperiled in the face of climate change. The exhibit highlights species that are already being threatened by the effects of global warming, from the majestic polar bear in the Arctic to the wolverine and grizzly bear found in the Rockies.
