Michael Flynn paid more than $30000 by state-run Russian TV

The newspaper, citing documents obtained by a congressional oversight committee, said Flynn received $11,250 from a Russian air cargo company "that had been suspended as a vendor to the United Nations following a corruption scandal".

Russian President Vladimir Putin (R) sits next to retired U.S. Army Lieutenant General Michael Flynn (L) in Moscow, Russia, December 10, 2015.

In a statement, a spokesman said Flynn, the former head of the Defense Intelligence Agency, "notified and briefed the DIA before his trip to Russian Federation and again upon his return".

And in December 2015, Flynn was also paid $33,750 by the Kremlin-backed news organization RT for a speech about foreign policy and intelligence matters at a conference in Russian Federation, the newspaper said.

In November 2016, Trump appointed Flynn as his White House national security adviser.

"I didn't take any money from Russian Federation, if that's what you're asking me", Flynn told Yahoo News in an interview at the Republican National Convention past year.

GAME OF THRONES' Season 7 Premiere Date is Here
In fact, the image of ice blocks melting under repeated fire certainly suggests something happening at the Wall. "Game of Thrones" Season 7 has an official premiere date and it's not as soon as you would think.

In response to the revelation, Kaspersky Lab stated that it paid Flynn the amount as a speaker fee for his appearance at the Government Cybersecurity Forum in 2015.

Cummings, the senior Democrat on the House Government Oversight Committee, noted in a letter addressed to Trump, Secretary of Defense James Mattis and Federal Bureau of Investigation chief James Comey, that Flynn also received $11,250 from a Russian charter airline and $11,250 from the U.S. arm of Kaspersky, a prominent Russia-based cyber security company.

Flynn was sacked February 13 after his communications with Russian Ambassador to the U.S. Sergey Kisylak late a year ago came to light.

Documents recently filed by Flynn showed his consulting firm was paid more than $500,000 by a company tied to the government of Turkey for lobbying during the fall transition period, which critics say was ethically questionable. Flynn resigned 24 days after taking office amid reports that he misled Vice President Pence about the nature of contacts in December with the Russian ambassador.

As a result of his involvement with Russia, Flynn's remarkably brief 24 days in Trump's cabinet have already come to a close, but Flynn could still face consequences from rules created to prevent retired officers from receiving payments from foreign governments.

Flynn told The Washington Post past year that he had been paid to speak at the gala, but would not disclose the amount.

Multiple People Injured In Axe Attack At Düsseldorf, Germany Train Station
Photos on social media show a person lying on the floor as police tape and officers cordon off part of the stations. Counter-terrorism police were reportedly dispatched to the scene and were able to arrest two people.

Flynn's meetings with Kislyak were discovered through routine surveillance of the ambassador, sources familiar with USA intelligence operations have said. A lawyer for Flynn didn't immediately respond to a request for comment. The event occurred in Russian Federation, and his travel and accommodations were covered.

"I can not recall any time in our nation's history when the President selected as his National Security Advisor someone who violated the Constitution by accepting tens of thousands of dollars from an agent of a global adversary that attacked our democracy", Cummings said. An additional $11,250 was paid to Leading Authorities, Flynn's speaking agents.

The news came on a day when another leading Republican, and Trump supporter, said it was unlikely there was any truth to Trump's tweeted assertions that Obama had "wire-tapped Trump Tower" during the campaign.

"I'm not a G2 guy, but I feel like I'd remember receiving "$68,000 in fees and expenses from Russia-related entities in 2015", including $11,250 from a cybersecurity firm rumored to be connected to USA election hacking.

RT is financed by the Russian government, but the other companies are private concerns.
