Leicester will take game to Sevilla, says Shakespeare

Premier League champions Leicester City trail Sevilla 2-1 in their Champions League last 16 clash ahead of this evening's second leg at the King Power Stadium.

Leicester beat Sevilla 2-0 to advance to the Champions League quarter-finals as the revival under Craig Shakespeare saw the Foxes take a place among Europe's elite.

Craig Shakespeare may share the same name as one of England's greatest ever playwrights, but even the Bard could not have come up with the plot of Leicester City's title win last season.

"We know the importance of getting that goal". It is not that bad to lose there 2-1.

First-team and goalkeeping coach Mike Stowell remains on board, as do the rest of the backroom staff.

Francisco has argued before the Supreme Court on several occasions, including two high-profile cases from recent sittings. He formerly practiced law in D.C.at Jones Day , where he argued three highly publicized cases before the Supreme Court.

Shakespeare was on Sunday rewarded for two wins in his two games as a caretaker with the Foxes job until the end of the season.

The Spanish side were unlucky not to earn an equaliser as Sergio Escudero rattled the crossbar with a swerving thunderbolt, but Leicester promptly responded with a rapid attack-with Albrighton keeping his cool to find the bottom corner.

Perhaps the most surprising thing about the game was not Leicester's transformation in this tie, given their transformation in the Premier League has been so discussed, but Sevilla's. I will expect them to play the same way.

They had almost their best squad out to play, but Leicester City had it all to do going into their Champions League match facing Sevilla's 2-1 lead. They nearly killed the game off midway through the second period, though Jamie Vardy snatched at a loose ball in the penalty area and lashed wide of Sergio Rico's goal.

The Riyad Mahrez of this season has had little on the Mahrez of last, though the Algerian global has certainly excelled in Leicester's fine Champions League run.

Manager Jorge Sampaoli was also ejected later in the half.

Sevilla dominated the final 30 minutes but its task was made harder when Nasri, who was booked in the first half for a petulant swipe at Wilfried Ndidi's ankles, collected another yellow card for going head to head with Vardy and aiming a butt.

"Why not? We are in it, we have to try to be competitive in every game", he told the media.

Sevilla had a chance to draw level on aggregate when they were awarded a penalty after a foul by Schmeichel on Vitolo, but Schmeichel atoned by saving Steven N'Zonzi's poor penalty, raising the roof in Leicester as a new chapter is written in their remarkable story.
