Girl found safe after stolen vehicle abandoned in parking lot

From about 6 a.m.to sometime after 9 a.m. police and public were galvanized by an Amber Alert to find Christina. She is wearing a red jacket, pink trousers, and a white hat.

Friday morning's Amber Alert, which lasted almost three hours, found a happy resolution, when the missing child and stolen auto were located in Division 12.

Police said the child, named Christina Nyuyen, is described as a four-year-old girl, three-feet tall, with shoulder length hair, brown eyes and wearing a red jacket, pink trousers and a white hat.

Police say the car's plate number is BHVH392 and the vehicle is believed to have rust on the front passenger side.

The suspect is unknown, police say. The car's engine was still running and the little girl was in the back. It's -4 C and there could be a scared four year old girl in an abandoned auto.

Dhillon said an investigation of the vehicle is underway and cautioned parents, "Do not leave your child in the auto alone, ever".

"We are concerned for the child's safety for obvious reasons", Jacob said. After paramedics checked the child for any injury, she was released to her parents and driven home by police.

Anyone who sees the vehicle is asked to immediately call 911.
