YouTube launches streaming TV service

Today Google unveiled 'YouTube TV, ' a new subscription service offering dozens of TV networks, cloud DVR, and YouTube Red originals for just $35 a month. The company debuted YouTube TV, a television streaming service that combines live content from broadcast and cable networks with content from the online creators that have made YouTube so successful.

The deal covers broadcasts on CBS, Fox, ABC, and NBC networks. Also included are the Fox and Comcast regional sports networks.

Calls for TSA changes after 11 passengers bypassed security screening at JFK
And despite law enforcement flooding the airport looking for the passengers, they were not found. Congress' Subcommittee on Transportation Security is now reviewing the bill.

It will have an unlimited cloud DVR to record shows and watch them later, and the service will roll out progressively in the USA, starting with large metropolitan areas. It will face competition from DirecTV's service, which launched late past year and also runs $35 a month. "They want to watch TV on their own terms".

In announcing the new service, YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki noted how the smartphone era changed everything-"mobile put a TV in everybody's pocket", she said. With YouTube TV, you'll be able to record live TV and never run out of storage. YouTube's chief product officer, Neal Mohan, said the six separate accounts are meant to be housed under the same roof. In practice, it looks a lot like the streaming services that have entered the market before it, but with a healthy dose of trademark Google simplicity and powerful artificial intelligence behind the scenes. Since then, additional reports have speculated about the channels that YouTube would sign up for its service.

Obviously the library of TV networks will make or break YouTube TV, but Google is off to a pretty good start. On top of that, YouTube TV features around 30 0f the biggest cable channels like Syfy, FX, The CW, and Nat Geo Wild. And your cloud DVR goes with you, so you can stream your recordings on any device, whenever and wherever you want.
