Arizona Wildcats star guard Allonzo Trier suspended for PED use

The sophomore failed a random drug test in September, the report said. He won the appeal, but the NCAA prohibited him from playing until the drug was completely out of his system.

The school had never said why Trier was suspended, citing privacy issues. His eligibility remained in question throughout the non-conference schedule as he was allowed to travel with the team, but not dress for games.

US Navy ship fired warning shots at Iranian vessels
The harassment came as the Mahan , along with the USS Makin Island , were headed through the strait toward the Persian Gulf. The Iranian vessels came within 800 meters of the Mahan , which was escorting two other USA military ships, they said.

The saga surrounding the 6-foot-5 guard, who made a decision to return to school for his sophomore season rather than jump to National Basketball Association, has been one of the more compelling storylines surrounding the No. 14 team in the country as it's gone 16-2 despite losing Trier. However, the drug has to be completely out of his system before he can play, reports Goodman. "After finding out that I was given a banned substance by a well-intentioned, but misguided person not associated with the University after an injury, I presented this information to the NCAA".

Essentially, this clears up the reason for Trier's absence, but his return date is still unknown as it is unclear if the drug will be out of his system entirely by season's end. While Trier waits for the drug to pass through, he's been allowed to practice and travel with the team.

'No Twitter presidency' and 4 other things powerful Democrat just told Trump
Democrats were able to usher through almost 100 judges before they lost control of the Senate in the 2014 midterm elections. Schumer warned the incoming President will fail if he sticks with a " Twitter presidency ".

This comes after Wildcats head coach Sean Miller discussed the situation Monday on the College Hoops Podcast (h/t Bruce Pascoe of the Arizona Daily Star).

Trier averaged 14.8 points and 3.3 rebounds per game along with a 36% three-point percentage during his freshman campaign last season. As soon as the test come back clear, Trier will be able to play and provide another scorer for the Wildcats. Freshman Lauri Markkanen has led the way for the Wildcats, picking up much of the scoring that has been left by Trier's absence.

Hoiberg said changing the closing rotation is made easier by player buy-in. "Now, I feel as though I'm coming around", Foye said. He drove to the left elbow and hit a jump shot with 27.7 seconds remaining to put Chicago on top 99-97.
